Reforming our state’s upside-down tax code and funding essential services has long been a priority for Fuse. Most people agree that Washington needs good public schools, parks where families can play outside, clean air, water and land, quality health care, and a strong infrastructure with robust public transit and accessible technology in order to thrive. Such thriving communities require state budget investments, but advocates have failed to convince the public and decision makers to support raising the revenue needed for these priorities. Our
Fuse has been a key partner of the All In For Washington campaign, and was a founding partner in the previous generation of this coalition. This campaign aims to change hearts and minds about taxes, the role of government, and our economy, and help build public support for comprehensive revenue solutions that reform Washington’s upside tax code.
Much of Fuse’s work on taxes and government is led by the Communications Hub, a program housed at Fuse. For more information or to schedule a training for a local organization, please contact our Communications Hub Director Spencer Olson.
